Marriage Preparation Course

Marriage Prep Class in English TBA

The next Marriage Preparation Course at Our Lady of the Valley Parish in English is being planned. The course is over two consecutive Saturdays from 9am - 3pm. Couples must attend BOTH Saturdays. Couples who are thinking of getting married in the Church in the coming are encouraged to call the parish office to get on a call-list for the next event. A donation to help offset the cost of the class materials is always appreciated. For more information or to register for the class, call the Parish office 208-459-3653.
The sacrament of Matrimony means becoming husband and wife
through a sacred covenant with God and each other.
A Catholic marriage is a vocation...a calling from God...and a sacrament.

The participants enter the Sacrament of Matrimony with the intention that their union will be
Permanent (unto death),
Faithful (no adultery)
and Fruitful (open to the possibility of children, if God wills it).
Couples need to schedule a meeting with the priest at least six (6) months before the proposed marriage date to begin the necessary preparations for the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Se require que parejas interesadas en celebrar su matrimonio en la Iglesia se comuniquen con el sacerdote por lo menos con seis (6) meses de anticipación a la fecha deseada para la boda, con el fin de complir todos los requisites para el sacramento del matrimonio.
